Warehouse Operative

We’re looking for a reliable, motivated, and detail-oriented Warehouse Operative to join a busy distribution centre through Major Recruitment. This is a hands-on role involving general warehouse duties, manual handling, and working towards daily targets (KPIs).

Our client is a well-established, specialist distributor within the automotive parts sector, operating for over three decades. Based in West Yorkshire, they supply high-demand components to trade customers across the UK.

With a strong reputation for fast turnaround, accuracy, and customer service, they’ve built long-term partnerships across the commercial vehicle market. Their team prides itself on delivering expert knowledge and maintaining efficient operations within a fast-paced warehouse environment.

Location: Huddersfield (West Yorkshire)
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 5:30pm (1 hour unpaid lunch)
Pay: £12.77 per hour
Total Hours: 42.5 hours per week

Main Duties

• Picking & packing orders accurately using iPad/tablet
• Stock rotation & organisation
• Hitting daily performance KPIs
• Supporting warehouse improvement projects (e.g. installing railings, rearranging stock)
• General housekeeping & ensuring health and safety standards
• Manual labour tasks as required
